Bowl predictions: Can the Pac-12 get a team in the College Football Playoff game?

Can someone run the table in the Pac-12 over the last four weeks of the season?

The conference has three teams with the opportunity to conduct a college football match. Oregon, UCLA and UCLA fall 8-1 for the first 10 weeks of the season and in the top 12 in the CFP rankings. If any of these three teams can win their last three games of the regular season and the Pac-12 game, it could potentially be a watershed point.

This is much easier said than done.

The 2022 season is the Pac-12’s best shot at getting a team into the playoff for the first time since 2016. But the conference’s strength at the top could also end up being his biggest playoff problem. Just take a look at the schedules for the top three teams over the last three weeks of the season.

Utah (7-2) isn’t out of the conference title mix either. If the Utes beat Oregon and take over the business against Stanford and Colorado, they’ll go into a Pac-12 title match against one of the three teams listed above.

The best-case scenario for the Pac-12 playoffs at the moment is an Oregon win and either USC or UCLA so that two teams meet 11-1 in the title match. This would guarantee a 12-1 team at the end of the season and a legitimate shot in the playoff.

We’re going with Oregon to be that team in our latest edition of pot drops. The ducks have some work to do; Three of their last four games will be against ranked opponents and Oregon State outside the top 25. But we think Oregon is playing well enough to make it happen at the moment.

Here’s how we see the pot lineup ahead of Week 11. As always, things could change drastically in the coming weeks. Especially in Pac-12, when Oregon plays Utah and UCLA plays USC Week 12.
