Cheryl Burke Reveals If She Will Join ‘DWTS’ Judging Panel
Cheryl Burke Ready to trade her dancing shoes for a judge’s score racket.
Previous Dancing with the stars The pro revealed that she is interested in joining the referees team for next season. The news comes about a week after the judge’s long ruling Lynn Goodman announced his exit from the show.
In a recent interview with Entertainment tonightBurke teased a possible return to the ballroom as a critic and cheerleader but not a competitor.
“I think the whole world knows at this point that I would absolutely love it. But it’s not up to me,” she said.
Burke added, “What’s up to me is my future, and I know it’s time for me to evolve and see what isn’t.” Because there is life after that Dancing with the starsSo I’ve heard. I do not know yet. I will tell you “.
This isn’t the first time Burke has hinted at the possibility of her moving to the other side of the umpire.
“I was a competitor in my life and Len Goodman was judging me. I also had my arbitration license, so I had to study all that stuff,” she previously said. procession in 2018, adding, “I don’t know if a lot of other dancers do it just because they’re a lot younger than me.”
Last month, Burke, 38, shocked the world when she announced that season 31 would be her last dancing alongside some of the biggest talents in Hollywood.

She celebrated her years on the show with a very sweet and emotional post on Instagram.
“I’m sitting here with so many conflicting feelings about the words I’m about to write… Tomorrow night will officially be my last dance as a dancer on dancingwiththestars. This has been one of the hardest decisions of my life and I’m confident it’s the right thing,” I wrote on Sunday.
“This show has been my second family since I was 21. The cast, crew, and fans have watched me through my highs and my lows, and I honestly don’t know who I would be today without them. I also know it’s time to start the next phase of my career, Although dance will always be a part of me.I am excited about the idea of evolving, being challenged in new ways, and being able to expand my commitment to mental health advocacy, while focusing on my new discoveries [sic] I love podcasts, and I’m ready to face the uncertainty (although scary as sh**) of what the future holds – I’ve got a few things up my sleeves though, so don’t worry 😉”.
Burke’s comment concluded: “Although there are not enough words to express my deep gratitude and love for Kamel Dancing with the stars I’ll close with family: Thank you for being my stepping stone for nearly two decades through difficult moments, and most of all, thank you for giving dance the credit and attention it deserves. Not only have you brought joy to millions and millions of viewers each season, but you have brought light and so much love to my heart and soul when I needed it most. This was truly an experience of a lifetime. I look forward to this next chapter of my career, but this guy is going to be hard to beat! Until next time… love you all, always and forever xx 🤍. ”
Burke said too Entertainment tonight One of the many projects she’s working on involves developing a dance program that’s “about mental health and movement.”
“I really care about mental health now,” she told reporters. “I think I’ve been blessed and blessed to have this platform to be able to talk about my own experiences. I’m not a professional, but I know how to help people by talking about my journey.”
