week 3 tight ends

TE notes: The second week was encouraging for Darren Waller, who fell off the linebacker in the red and was quickly found by Derek Carr for relegation. With the terrifying Davante Adams having opposing defenses in the painted area, Waller will have no shortage of extra looks. …it looks like George Kittel (thigh) is finally ready to make his debut in 2022. With Jimmy Garoppolo under center and perhaps the 49 players wanting to lighten the pickup/blocking burden on Kittle as he returns to game form, one can hope that His primary contributions in Week 3 are in the Receiving Game. …The Hawks’ coach Arthur Smith was on the defensive over a worrying use of Kyle Bates. The guy doesn’t necessarily seem to know how to drive a stick-shift Lamborghini. I hope this faith is not blind, but it is impossible to believe that the big game will not come. … Dallas Goedert’s 10 targets don’t blow the doors out of the barn, but he turned them down to 142 yards in this high-performance offense. Leaders are a good fit.

Healthy in the second week, Zach Ertz led 11 goals. Keeler Murray has no better place to direct the ball. …pat Fryermouth is one of the Steelers’ only bright spots. Expect Mitch Trubesky to keep checking on him. …with the rise of Amon-Ra St. Brown and D’Andre Swift By making the lions’ attack more dynamic, TJ Hockenson appears to be settling in as a “third lane cleanup” target collector. …with thoughts running out of attack rams, “Lots of Tyler Higby Targets” take on the day. The Cardinals bled fantasy features Travis Kelce and Darren Waller in the first two weeks. These tight ends are actually good of course. … Gerald Everett, though frustrated, is better positioned to deliver plays than Dawson Knox. As scary as it is, Knox is not ordering a larger target share to offset what was all but a certain downward slop. …with leaders out of it like a few teams in the league, Logan Thomas is enjoying plenty of cheap looks.

Speaking of cheap looks, Evan Ingram has been welcoming them to Jacksonville. The Jags were putting Engram in a position to contribute yards after a hunt. …Irv Smith showed signs of life in the second week. It’s just about time for what fantasy directors are hoping there will be points with the Lions this week. …Hunter Henry found himself in a milk carton through two games. With so little to call home in the TE12-20 range, I feel compelled to bet that Henry’s red zone look will eventually return. …as long as Joe Flacco starts and publishes at least 44 attempts, Tyler Conklin will file an appeal based on TE2 use. …the dun cool buns is luck. The biggest problem is that he’ll have a non-existent roof if the Bears don’t start letting Justin Fields throw at least 25 times per game. There was no indication that it would be in the near future. …Mike Jesecki is only making a comeback because he has some playability in what’s shaping up to be a week-long fast attack. …nothing has changed for David Ngoku. …Juwan Johnson sets himself up for two weeks TE.
