A new killer is revealed during Hulu Only the murders in the building Conclusion. But the identity of the attacker may come as a surprise to many viewers.
Tuesday’s episode picked up on the fallout from learning Mabel Moura (Selena Gomez) the true identity of Bobby White (Adina Fierson), the long-suffering assistant to popular podcast host Sinda Canning (Tina Fey). Cinda is best known for her investigative podcast about the mysterious disappearance and murder of Becky Butler, but fans find out in episode nine that Poppy is actually Becky. She also admits that she is “terrified” of Cinda.
It also appears as if Cinda has ties to anonymous detective Cripps (Michael Rappaport), who has been investigating the murder of Bunny Folger (Jayne Houdyshell). With all this in mind, Mabel connects Sinda with the “criminal mastermind” who is likely behind the Rabbit murder, leaving Charles Haden Savage (Steve Martin) and Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) stunned.
Viewers were provided with Poppy’s backstory as Becky at the top of Episode 10, which revealed that Becky’s supposed killer was the local mayor she worked with — as well as how Poppy brought the idea for Cinda for the podcast. The main trio of the show then hashed out the details they know to identify Why Sinda will kill the rabbit in the first place.

“So Bobby is Becky Butler?” Oliver said as Mabel replied, “Yes, which means that Sinda sent the mayor to prison for killing someone she knew was still alive.”
“And now she’s trying to top herself by sending us to prison for a murder she committed,” Charles said, adding that Sinda was likely “framing the ‘trio’ to get the hell out of her podcast track.”
Mabel, Charles, and Oliver later met with Bobby to gain more insight into the situation. The trio also wanted her advice on how to get Cinda to confess to the murder, but Poppy said, “She would never do that. Are you serious?”

Poppy then provided details about what would break Cinda but left the group to deal with a work-related matter. Before leaving the restaurant she picked up her order from the front, which happened to be an item the rabbit was “disgusted” with.
Mabel also walked away to answer a call from Detective Williams (Davin Joy Randolph), who revealed that she was able to get information from the murder weapons authorities that were recovered. To this, Mabel said to Charles and Oliver, “Guys, I think I know what ’14 Savage’ means,” referring to the rabbit’s last words when he was fatally stabbed.
From there, Mabel, Charles, and Oliver gather some of their neighbors and friends to help them carry out their scheme to uncover the killer. Sinda is invited to the gathering, called the “Killer’s Reveal Party”, which is held at Bunny’s apartment. Poppy joins her, and brings the appropriate equipment for his recording of the Cinda podcast as the main movie trio of their podcast.
“I am not happy to tell you that the killer is here, in this very room,” said Charles as Alice Banks (Cara Delevingne), the ex-Mabel who recreated the rabbit crime scene for art, suddenly entered the room.

After recounting the events that occurred before and after Bunny’s murder in Mabel’s apartment, Charles claimed that Sinda likely had an “interest in framing three innocent people”, including himself, Mabel and Oliver. It was then that Oliver revealed that Sinda was responsible for the rabbit’s death.
“And how did she cover her tracks? With the help of a crooked cop she met years ago in Oklahoma,” Oliver said, referring to Detective Cripps, prompting Cinda to wonder how the trio found out about her relationship with the police official.
However, Sinda said, “Why would I want to kill an old woman I had never met before?”
Cinda has continued to deny the group’s allegations, including some allegations related to its previous repeated visits to the Arconia apartment building. But she still insists there is “no motive” on her end.
Mabel soon realized that her ex-boyfriend, Alice, was the builder’s killer: “This is the work of an artist.”
Mabel told Alice, noting how she was initially linked as the primary suspect in the murder case. “So why don’t you frame me? Increase the value of your art?”
Alice replied, “I’m pissed, frankly, haven’t we gone down this road before?”
“You’re a real wizard, Alice,” said Mabel, pulling out a card that Alice had in one of the mystery party games in an earlier episode, noting that she was the game killer.
For this, Alice clapped and said, “Bravo, Mabel. Bravo, really.”

Alice then turns around to pick up a knife to stab her ex-boyfriend, but instead mortally wounds Charles, who interferes on the way to save Mabel.
Charles then died and was covered with a blanket while waiting for the authorities to arrive. I sat down with Mabel and Oliver. Afterwards, Sinda sang Mabel’s praises for solving the case: “You’re one hell of a detective. I could use someone like you on my staff. I mean, hell, I think you can have your own podcast.”
This news immediately infuriated Bobby, who described Mabel’s ability to solve the murder as “pure luck.” Then she wondered why Cinda featured on the Mabel podcast, stating that she does “everything” for Cinda but doesn’t get rewarded for her efforts.

But as Bobby continues to sneeze while trying to make her argument, Mabel and Oliver begin to question her. Mabel noted that the person who killed the rabbit sneezed on his way out of the building.
“It’s not a crime to be allergic to rattlesnakes,” Bobby said. “And what? Would you believe a little girl hiding in your walls?”
Then Oliver said, “Only the killer knew there was a girl hiding in the walls that night.”
“And her name is Lucy,” Mabel said of Charles’ ex-girlfriend’s teenage daughter, “and her name is Becky.”
When asked how Cinda knew Poppy’s true identity, Charles – who was presumed dead – sat down and shared that they told Cinda everything.
Then, Mabel, Charles, and Oliver tell Bobby that they’ve been on her since their meeting that afternoon at dinner. Poppy then explained, “I just wanted to make a good podcast, I just wanted Cinda to notice me.”
Bobby asked how the trio found out she was the killer, prompting Mabel to explain that Detective Williams had told her that the DNA on the murder weapon belonged to a “dead girl,” Becky Butler. Mabel then realized that “14 Savage” was supposed to refer to sandwich number 14 on the dinner menu, an item the rabbit hated. This also means that Mabel did not speak of the rabbit saying the word “sandwich” and not “wild”.
Police arrested Bobby as well as Detective Krebs, who was revealed to be her boyfriend.
