Potatofest, Harvestfest, Oktoberfest, Tattoo Business Punk Rock Fest, and more!

Here is a list of the region’s live music and online music events the weekend and week of Friday, September 23 through Thursday, September 29.

Summer festivals are on the books for another year, fall festivals are starting and will be in the spotlight during most of October.

One of the first fall festivals is Ebensburg’s annual potato celebration, Potatofest, which takes place in a large area of downtown Ebensburg on Saturdays. Many potato-based food items will be in the spotlight, from french fries to soup to pot pies, potato pizza, pudding and desserts too! There will also be several arts and crafts vendors, wine tastings, children’s activities and live music on four separate stages. See the list below to see who will perform.

Delgrosso Park in Tipton concludes the 2022 season with the 35th annual Harvestfest on Saturday and Sunday. Harvestfest will feature plenty of food from various community organizations, fire companies, churches, and businesses. There will be business, arts and crafts vendors, kids activities including a puppet show and petting zoo, and live entertainment on both days – after their return, Nashville’s family group Rockland Road will entertain both days on the main stage, with Pittsburgh-accordionist Pat Septak performing Halfway on Sunday.

Several Oktoberfests are taking place across the region this weekend—including the Oktoberfest at Tussey Mountain on Friday night, the 46th annual Cassville Oktoberfest in Huntingdon County from Friday through Sunday, Milheim at Oktoberfest on Saturday, and more.

The Railroad City Tattoo Company, located near the 8th Street exit on the 10th Avenue Expressway, is celebrating 30 years as a business by hosting a punk rock concert on Saturday afternoons. It will include food carts, tattoos of guests and other artists, refreshments and music from four bands—punk-rock favorites X’s For Eyes and The Snipped, as well as record sets Fat Wreck Chords, Teenage Bottlerocket and Suzi Moon. Entry is free, and the event is open to all ages.

These and many other live music opportunities both outdoors and indoors will be happening over the next few days, so browse the list below, pick an event (or two or three) and, as always, support live music!
