The Chicago White Sox is holding the “Game Changers Summit: Empowering Voices for Social Impact” on September 27
CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox_Game Changers Summit: Empowering Voices for Social Impac_t, presented by Modelo Especial and Saint Xavier University, will be held at a guaranteed rate field on Tuesday 27th September at 5pm

Crowning this year’s White Sox Game Changers series of artists, the event will include a discussion with many of DEI’s emerging thought leaders and senior CEOs impacting change through sport. Managed by Chicago sports reporter Dion Miller, the conversation will cover a variety of topics, including the latest successes and challenges related to DEI in sport, the evolving landscape of people and culture in sport, the importance of allies, and what lies ahead for the advancement of the industry. Billy BenAnd the Senior Vice President, DEI at Major League Baseball: As the only live and gay former MLB player, Bean has become one of the sport’s leading models and one of the country’s most sought-after motivational speakers. His current role serves at the forefront of Major League Baseball’s efforts for a fair and equitable workplace throughout baseball.
Aishwara Glassman ShrineAnd the President of the Chicago Fire Football Club: An accomplished business executive appointed in May 2021, Glassman Chrein oversees all aspects of Fire’s business operations. Prior to joining Fire, she was the Head of Sports Partnerships and Business Development at Yahoo Sports/Verizon Media. Glassman Crane is only the fourth woman in Major League Soccer history to serve as the club’s president.
Maria SanchezAnd the Senior Associate M/Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Northwestern University: Leading the diversity and inclusion efforts on Northwestern Athletics’ senior staff, Sanchez oversees the department’s inclusion committee and serves as director of Northwestern’s King NU PRIDE program designed to help students enhance leadership skills and celebrate diversity. Sanchez also manages the day-to-day operations of the department’s academic services and student development programs.
In addition to the panel discussion, the event offers attendees a networking reception with emerging sports leaders, exclusive White Sox photo opportunities, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour and an interactive stadium experience. Summit participants also receive a special White Sox Swag Bag.
In consecutive seasons, the White Sox Game Changers series has supported and empowered underrepresented communities in Chicago by presenting compelling stories about sports and culture through the work of local artists who identify within African American, Asian American, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) and Hispanic communities. Since 2016, the Game Changers series has provided leading community voices in group events and virtual discussions focused on creating meaningful change and empowering diverse community groups. Event programming included “Latinas Reshape the Sports Journalism Industry,” “The Legacy of Chicago’s Negro Leagues,” and “Real Dialogue on Challenges and Gains for Women Working in Sports,” among others.
