The CaddieBike is one of the best new golf products the author has tried in 2022

Here’s What I Tried, a new series from GOLF.com where we write about golf items—apparel, gear, accessories, etc.—that we recently took on a spin. We’re here to offer our honest, no-frills offering on the latest and greatest golf or golf neighborhood items. In this edition, we are going to take a closer look at CaddieBike. So, scroll down to read what we like (or don’t like) about the latest (or new-to-us) golf products.

The CaddieBike Rambler is the best new product I’ve tried this year, and I’ve tried *a lot* of new golf products this year. I’ve had more fun on the course with the Rambler than I have in a long time. The best part? It’s just great fun off the course.

This e-bike can reach 25 mph and rides as smoothly as a 7-speed bike without the added battery power. When you’re not golfing, the rear hatch closes to make the CaddieBike Rambler a versatile ride. There’s even a motorcycle-level headline for dew-sweeping golfers or home-grown twilight tours.

What I liked: ride. This may sound like a broad, non-descriptive answer, and it is. You need to ride a CaddieBike on the course to understand yourself. I had a completely different feeling than I had on the course before. I’ve never ridden a motorcycle before, and probably never will. But my guess is that the CaddieBike offers a small glimpse into the freedom motorcycle enthusiasts feel on the open road when you hit an open trail.

One underrated feature of the CaddieBike is its brakes. I’m not an adrenaline junkie who likes to go fast. Reaching 25 mph on an e-bike is not something I would do without safety guarantees. After giving full rests, I was very impressed.

What I enjoy most about the CaddieBike is that it is more of a lifestyle product than a golf product. Honestly, I use it more off the track. My time on the course with CaddieBike is the cherry on top. CaddieBike is changing a lifestyle.

What I didn’t like: The CaddieBike Rambler weighs in at just over 70 lbs. It couldn’t be easier to pick it up and move it around in the garage. While the weight isn’t ideal, I also take it as a positive for how well-built it is. The CaddieBike is built to last and you can feel that in every part. No cheap plastic to be found here.

If you’re not a long hitter, it can be a little awkward to hop on the CaddieBike and ride to the 3-piece wooden putt that’s only a few yards away. This is not what happened to me or anything…

What surprised me: Assembly is easy! Seriously, it is. I’m not handy at all and had no problems putting it together. This will not be an Ikea-like adventure during the assembly process…

Overall, CaddieBike has earned our stamp of approval. While it’s not something I want to take on the course with me on every ride, it will definitely make any ride I use a CaddieBike more enjoyable. This is more than just a new item. Try CaddieBike, and I bet you take it for a second ride.
